The adoption of 5G brings the potential for large quantities of mobile devices requiring widespread connectivity, faster download and upload speeds with minimal latency.

Global mobile operators have seen the approach of 5G now for years, but as more and more providers have taken steps to implement 5G or are in the planning phases to invest in the platform, the realization that 5G will be making a significant impact on the telecom industry is becoming clear.

These operators responded to a comprehensive survey on their 5G roaming implementation strategies, the technical requirements of 5G NSA and SA, and their overall perception towards 5G use cases and how they envision 5G generating revenues. Specific results from the survey include an understanding of how operators currently feel about 5G and their launch plans, what trials and testing have been identified as a precursor to going live with 5G SA, and addressing the financial benefits and expectations that 5G will present. In addition, the report identifies the key challenges operators face in the deployment of 5G.
