Environmental, Social, and Governance

With the goal of integrating our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts into everything we do, we have established specific focus areas for our program, called Syniverse RISE, promoting four pillars:

  • Responsibility to promote ethical practices.

  • Inclusive culture for employees and the global community.

  • Service integrity in performance, security, and privacy.

  • Environmental performance that protects the world.


Our annual ESG report details company performance across an ever-expanding range of topics, from energy use to diversity in the workforce.

Volunteerism and Charitable Giving

Each year, our employees around the globe dedicate their time and effort to making a positive impact in their communities. Many of these initiatives are led by our site leaders in partnership with our regional employee associations – employees who are passionate about representing our company and giving back to the places we live and work.

Highlights from our efforts include:

  • Christmas donations for children from Guápiles, Heredia, and Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

  • Beach clean ups from Stanley Main Beach, Hong Kong to North Gandy Beach, Tampa.

  • Events and donations supporting eldercare, foster care centers, and adults with special needs in Hyderabad.

  • Community food bank support in Luxembourg.

Data-driven Sustainability and Social Impact

Our commitment to environmental and social stewardship is reflected in our organizational structure and strategic priorities. We use a data-driven approach to identify areas for improvement and set tangible targets. We also monitor our progress over time with regards to improving our environmental footprint, reducing e-waste, ensuring responsible waste management, protecting internationally proclaimed human rights, and eliminating all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking from our supply chain and business.
